Things About Seven Card Stud Poker

The Seven Card Stud variation is one of the most well known variations of stud poker and is played by two or eight players. Each player in the game is given seven cards, three of them in a face down position and four of them are place in face up position.

The main objective in the game is to make the strongest five card hand using any combination of the cards that you will be given by the dealer. The Seven card variation is usually played with an ante that is one-fifth of the smaller limit wager size.

Every player in the game must ante before the game starts. The ante has no bearing on any future wagers. After the first dealing of the dealer when everyone in the game has a single card in a face up position, the person with the smallest card must place half of the small limit wager size in the cash pot.

If two or more players in the game have both the smallest card, the player that is seated at the left side of the dealer must place their wagers. This wager is considered as an initial wager so as long no one will raise then you are not required to place any cash on the pot to know the card if it is your turn.

There are about five rounds of wagering. In a limit seven card stud game, all of the wagers and raises must be the same with the small limit or the big limit depending on the round. In the firs two rounds, the wagers and raises must be the same to the small limit wager size. In the 3rd and succeeding rounds, all wagers must be the same with the larger wager size.

1st, the third street. The pair of cards is given by the dealer in a face down position, followed by single card in a face up position. The player with the smallest card must place half of the low limit wager. The player may then choose to raise by wagering the whole small limit wager.

The game starts in a clockwise direction, with each of the participants having the choice to fold, call and raise. 2nd, fourth street is given in a face up position to every player. The player with the biggest hand will be the one to start the game.

3rd, Fifth Street. It is given in a face up position to every player in the game with the biggest hand starting the game. All of the wagers and the raises must be the same to the bigger limit wager size.

4th, sixth street. It is a card that is given in a face up position. It is played like in the last round and last but not the least the seventh street. In the event that all of the players in the game remain in the hand, there would not be enough cards for all of the players in the game.

Any player that has not folded on the last round wagering will have the chance to show their card hand in hopes of winning the pot.

The person who wager last is the first one who will show their hand. Players have the option to muck their card hand if they do not have the chance to win the cash pot and they do not want others to see what they have.
